Terms of Service
These terms are the agreement between you and Siglar Development AS (“we”, “us”) for using Tab Desktop at tabdesktop.com and the services behind it. By using Tab Desktop you accept them. If you use it on behalf of a company, you confirm you may bind that company.
1. What Tab Desktop is
Tab Desktop is a development environment that runs inside your web browser. Runtimes such as Node.js and PHP, git, package managers and editors execute on your device, and your files are stored in your browser. We provide the software, the website, and a small set of network services that a browser cannot do by itself: relays for git and web requests, public URLs (tunnels) for servers you run, an API proxy for AI assistants, and optional accounts.
2. Your content
Everything you create, clone or run in Tab Desktop is yours. We claim no rights to it. Because it lives in your browser's storage, you are responsible for keeping copies of anything you cannot afford to lose: pushing to a git remote, syncing to a cloud drive you connect, or downloading it. Browser storage can be cleared by you, by the browser, or by the operating system, and we cannot recover it when that happens.
When you use a relay or tunnel, you grant us the limited right to transmit your content for the sole purpose of delivering that request. We do not store it, and we do not use it for any other purpose.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to use Tab Desktop, its relays or its tunnels to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- send spam, malware, phishing pages or anything designed to deceive or harm;
- attack, probe or overload other systems, or circumvent access controls, including ours;
- host or proxy traffic that is unrelated to developing and previewing your own projects, or resell access to the relays and tunnels;
- interfere with the service or place an unreasonable load on it.
Public URLs are for previewing and sharing work in progress, not for production hosting. We may rate-limit, suspend or close a tunnel or a relay session that we believe violates these terms or endangers the service, and we may close accounts used for abuse.
4. Accounts and paid plans
An account is optional. If you create one, you sign in with a provider such as Google or GitHub, you keep your credentials secure, and you are responsible for what happens under your account. Paid plans are billed through Stripe at the price shown when you subscribe, renew automatically for the period shown, and can be cancelled at any time from your account page; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period, and we do not refund partial periods unless the law requires it. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice, which applies from your next renewal.
5. Third-party services
Some features connect you to other services: git hosts, package registries, cloud storage providers, Anthropic for Claude Code, and payment processing by Stripe. Those services are provided under their own terms, which you agree to when you use them, and we are not responsible for them. The AI assistants produce output automatically; review it before you rely on it.
6. Our software
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use Tab Desktop as provided. Open-source components included in it remain under their own licences, which take precedence for those components. You may not remove notices, reverse engineer parts that are not open source, or present Tab Desktop as your own service.
7. Availability and changes
Tab Desktop evolves quickly. We may add, change or remove features, and we may interrupt the network services for maintenance or for reasons outside our control. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee it. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the current version, material changes are announced on the site, and continued use after a change means you accept it.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Tab Desktop is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost data, lost profits or business interruption, arising from your use of Tab Desktop. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose, or 100 euros if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including consumer rights that apply to you.
9. Termination
You may stop using Tab Desktop at any time, and you can have your account deleted by writing to us. We may suspend or terminate access for a breach of these terms. Sections 2, 5, 8 and 10 survive termination.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, and disputes are subject to the courts of Norway, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence.
11. Contact
